I’ve been asked to compare the Sony Xperia ZL and Xperia Z, so in this post I will talk about the differences between the two devices. Although they having almost the same specs, there are some differences that you should be aware of that might convince you to buy the Xperia Z instead of the ZL or vice versa.
Both the Sony Xperia Z and Xperia ZL both have a very similar specs but certainly have their differences. They both uses the same 5.0-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) display with a shutter proof and scratch-resistant glass. They both use the same 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, same front-facing a 13MP and rear-facing 2MP cameras, 16GB onboard storage, 4G LTE connectivity and a microSD card slot. So both the ZL and Z are identical in their performance and use the same Adreno 320 GPU. Both phones come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and can be upgraded to 4.2.
